Important information. Due to potential Covid restrictions for the 2024 event you are not required to take your images within RCT we will welcome images from wherever you may be.

 

1. Your 12 pictures are required to be taken in the same order published. Click Here for more infomation.
    

2. Please check your camera has the correct time and date.
    

3. RCT Photomarathon wants you to enjoy the event and stay safe along with others in the event and the general public. Your safety and wellbeing along with your kit, equipment, clothing etc is your responsibility and we will not be responsible for injury or damage.
    

4. Submit images in Jpeg format. 
    

5. Smart phone users please ensure your picture is being created in Jpeg “Most Compatible” on the iPhone and not in HEIF/HEVC format “High efficiency”
    

6. Pictures need to be appropriate this is a family event, pictures that are not “PG” and child appropriate will not be allowed in this event and removed or censored.
    

7. The event is for fun.. please try to have fun.
    

8. Cameras, lens, memory cards etc will need to be provided by the contestant taking part at their own risk.
    

9. Pictures must be taken between 10am 8th June 2024 and 10am 9th June 2024 by your self.
    

10. Your pictures can be edited or not it’s up to you.
     

11. Remember to eat and stay hydrated.
     

12. Your 12 pictures must be uploaded by 6pm on the 9th June 2024. Please use the help guidance on our website or reach out to us if you are struggling, we are here to help.
     

13. Do not deliberately change the Meta data associated with your 12 images.
     

14. Judges are all volunteers, and their decision is final.
     

15. Prizes for the 12 category winners. An Under 16 and under winner & an Over 15 winner and runner up.
     

16. Copyright for the images remains with the person taking them. However, we would love to use your pictures on our websites and any event publicity royalty free please.
     

17. Google, Bing, Yahoo, ask, duckduck etc might be your new best friend for inspiration (other search engines available) if it helps. Just make sure you have taken your pictures!
     

18. Contestants are invited to the Award Night - additional places will be available but limited and may need to be managed through invitation depending on demand. This dependent on Covid rules. Date & location TBA.
    
    Refunds
     

19. Should the event be cancelled (not postponed) a full refund will be issued. All ticket revenue are held until the scheduled day of the event.

RCTPhotoMarathon.com is a NOT for PROFIT a yearly community based photography event operates without the primary goal of making a profit. Organiser arranging the event receives NO payment and their time is voluntary.

RCTPhotoMarathon.com use two web pages namely RCTPhotoMarathon.com & My12pics.com we also have social media presences on Facebook & Instagram. Images submitted during the competition remain the property of the person taking them however RCTPhotoMarathon.com may use your images on our digital platforms for but not exclusively for marketing and for community enjoyment unless specifically requested not to.
